Music Thru The Decades

Looking to enjoy some local music, check out Music Thru The Decades, a live musical fundraiser event hosted by We are the Difference. Visit the event page for a full list of performers. Tickets start at $30 per person or $250 for a table (10).

Wood Stork & Wading Bird Event

The earlier you arrive the better your chance to see the wood storks!

A valid hunting/fishing license or Wild Louisiana Stamp is required for individuals 16 to 60 years of age. Licenses or stamps may be obtained online at wlf.la.gov or by telephone at 1 (888) 765.2602.

Santa Rockin’ the Depot

Come out and enjoy holiday fun at the Plaquemine Depot Market. Enjoy a fantastic shopping experience, yummy refreshments, and incredible raffles during the Santa Rockin’ the Depot event. Be sure to snag a picture with Santa!

All is Bright: Hometown Christmas

A family-friendly, free event that continues to grow each year with vendors participating from all around the state. The annual event is held along Railroad Avenue in the Heart of the Plaquemine Historic District and Plaquemine Main Street area.

Local vendor will be setup with items for purchase including: handmade items, arts and crafts, jewelry, and much more. Food, Christmas music, and kids’ rides ensure that everyone will have a great time. Come out and enjoy a Hallmark-style Saturday evening with the family, meet with old friends, and make new ones!

While downtown you can also check out our Historic Mississippi River Lock Museum, beautiful St John Catholic Church, which is also known as “The Cathedral on the Bayou”, the Old City Hall Museum circa 1848, and our award-winning Bayou Plaquemine Waterfront Park and Pavilion.

Llama Drama Storytime!

Goula Paradise Farms is visiting the library for this very special storytime featuring alpacas.  Join us for some stories, llama & alpaca facts, and live animal fun! Geared for ages 4-7 years old with parent or caregiver.
