Grab your paddles and explore the waterways along our Plaquemine Paddling Trail. From wildlife to aquaculture, there is so much to discover. This route is roughly 10-12 miles one way, with four waterway entry points along the way.

Bayou Plaquemine Waterfront Park

This award-winning park boasts beautifully landscaped pavilions and overlooks to enjoy the view of magnificent buildings and landmarks, a pier walkway along the bayou, floating piers to dock boats, outdoor cooking areas, and a large parking area. The park is open from dawn to sunset.

Bayou Plaquemine is one in a series of Mississippi River distributaries and allows for navigation throughout the Atchafalaya Basin. This landing is ideal for powerboats, jet skis, and paddlers. Enjoy a picnic at under the pavillion or uncovered picnic areas.

Bayou Plaquemine @ Bayou Jacob is one in a series of Mississippi River distributaries and allows for navigation throughout the Atchafalaya Basin. This landing is ideal for small to medium sized boats and paddlers. From this location there is easy access to the mouth of Bayou Jacob.

Upper Grand River @ Jack Miller’s Landing provides access to the Grand River Flats, Pats Bay, and the Intracoastal Waterway. This landing is ideal for powerboats, jet skis, and paddlers. On location parking is limited, but additional parking is available across the street at Jack Miller’s.
