Wild Beast Seafood Cook-Off

Join us as the best chefs battle for the cajun paddle.

 

FOR VISITORS:
The public can start purchasing dishes at 11 am.

Price per bowl/plate to be determined by BPHA on the day of the event
All proceeds go to the Bayou Pigeon Heritage Association

 

FOR THE COOKS:
Cookoff Rules:
  • Each team must prepare at least 50 servings available for sale to the public.
  • Each team must have a designated team captain.
  • At least one team member must be 21 years or older.
  • This is an amateur cooking contest, and it is intended there be no professional chefs
  • All entries must be prepared in as sanitary a manner as possible. All applicable local health codes and guidelines apply.
  • Decorations, props, costumes, musical instruments, giveaways, and any other equipment or gear to be used in your theme is acceptable.
  • The cooking can begin as early as you need to. The Pavilion grounds will be open at 6:00 AM. If needed earlier the team must notify on of the team chairs of the requirement for approval.

Prizes in each category:

  • 1st place prize $125
  • 2nd place $75
  • 3rd place $50
  • Paddle trophies, & a hat or t-shirt for all winners
