One of only 11 remaining sugar mills in Louisiana, One of only 11 remaining sugar mills in Louisiana, Cora Texas Sugar Mill is a unique part of Iberville’s past and present.⁣

Cora Texas was established in 1928. Through the years, the mill has grown from a small operation that ground about 1,000 tons of cane a day to handling 15,000 tons daily during the grinding season. During the grinding season (October through January), the mill operates 24 hours a day and currently grinds approximately 1.3 million tons of sugarcane into 300 million pounds of sugar annually.
Carnival season is upon us and with that brings to Carnival season is upon us and with that brings tons of Mardi Gras themed events throughout the parish, like our Mardi Gras Balls!

Attend as a balcony spectator to take in all the vibrant colors, amazing costumes and set design, and soak in the electrifying atmosphere while enjoying a birds-eye view of the celebration. Tickets are available for purchase at the door.

Discover the rich history of the Bayou Paul Colore Discover the rich history of the Bayou Paul Colored School, a one-room school built in 1920 by the United Sons and Daughters Benevolent Society. With Amanda Grace as its dedicated teacher from 1936 to 1955, this historic site educated generations of students. Now a proud part of the National Register of Historic Places, the school was relocated to Amanda Grace Memorial Park in 2006. Explore its enduring legacy, from its original wooden structure to its tin roof! ⁣
